We were very pleased to welcome participants from the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) 2025 to Oxford, 29th July, for a session exploring ethical decision making surrounding conservation and human need.
The session began with a talk by Professor Mike Parker, Director of the Ethox Centre, who introduced the ANTITHESES project.

The group then took part in a hands-on workshop led by Dr David Lyreskog from the Design Bioethics Lab. During the session, they played Last Haven - a citizen science game that challenges players to weigh difficult trade-offs between environmental sustainability and human needs.

The LIYSF participants brought thoughtful perspectives to the discussion and shared valuable feedback on what resonates with young people when engaging with ethical issues through creative and participatory approaches.
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the conversations it sparked. Many thanks to the LIYSF group for joining us!
