On 8 July 2025, the Design Bioethics Lab ran another co-production session with the NeurOx Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG). This time, we reviewed the progress made since last summer’s workshops and looked toward adapting our co-produced survey design for younger populations. This project is part of a larger work package called STREAM – short for ‘Studying Trends in Radical Ethics Among Multitudes’ – where the aim is to validate the findings of 2024’s co-production workshops with different populations: Can we replicate the key drivers and characteristics of Radical Value Disagreement across demographics, or are there discrepancies depending on nationality, age, etc.?

The NeurOx YPAG contributed expert advice on tweaks to the survey design, adapting it for younger populations without losing the core structure and content. This is key, as the STREAM studies aim to compare results across demographics; if the survey design varies too widely between groups, the comparison may not be especially informative.

Once again, the Design Bioethics Lab researchers were reminded of the incredible resource that NeurOx YPAG is, how central it is to our methodology, and how important these collaborations are to further progress on the ANTITHESES project.
